الدراسة عن فرشاة مسواك الذكية

 

أجريت دراسة لتقييم فوائد الياف المسواك و السيليكا الطبيعية في طب الأسنان قسم علوم الفم، كلية الدراسات العليا لطب الأسنان، جامعة كاناغاوا باليابان

1- تم استخدام فرشاة أسنان ذات خيوط السيليكا الطبيعية والياف المسواك لتنظيف أسنان المشاركين لمدة أسبوعين

2- تم مقارنة النتائج مع فرشاة أسنان ذات خيوط نايلون تقليدية.

3- وجدت الدراسة أن فرشاة الأسنان ذات خيوط السيليكا الطبيعية والياف المسواك كانت أكثر فعالية في إزالة البلاك والجير والبكتيريا من الأسنان من فرشاة الأسنان ذات خيوط النايلون التقليدية.

4- كما وجدت أن فرشاة الأسنان ذات خيوط السيليكا الطبيعية والياف المسواك كانت آمنة للاستخدام ولم تسبب أي آثار جانبية.

Introduction
 
At Kanagawa Dental University Graduate School of Environmental Pathology, the Department of
Oral Science, a product, a Miswak・black silica-combined toothbrush manufactured by Shinyei Kaisha
was evaluated. Previously, a result of the cleaning effect was significantly higher than that of a
control toothbrush by including graphite silica stone (hereinafter referred to as black silica) in the
bristles of the toothbrush. However, this time, the main issue being studied is how the effect works
due to combining with Miswak
 
.Study of Brushing Effect with a Miswak・Black Silica Toothbrush   -
Goal
Black silica is definitely expected to have a ragged surface and Far-Infrared effect, etc., and is useful
for the cleaning effect by including it in a toothbrush. And a goal is to clarify whether or not it
influences the cleaning effect by combining with Miswak
Experimental Procedure
・Material
Test toothbrush: A toothbrush containing black silica and Miswak
Control toothbrush: A PBT toothbrush
 
 
Procedure
The experiment is implemented according to a time schedule. Brushing is performed by
dividing the upper and lower dentition into 12 blocks on the anterior teeth section/molars section
(left and right), cheek (lips) section, and tongue (palate) section, and brushing each for 45 seconds
for a total of 9 minutes (scrubbing method). The brushing time of 9 minutes is based on a study
report by Satoshi Tokura et al., and the foregoing brushing is set as one course and performed with
the test toothbrush and the control toothbrush (the order of use is randomly assigned). The presence
and absence of plaque in each is recorded on a full jaw-chart in which one tooth is divided into four
surfaces by referring to the 0"Leary PCR (Plaque Control Record). If plaque is found on the tooth
cervical area of each surface, it is determined as (+), and if it is not found at all, it is determined as
(-). Throughout the experimental period, PCR measurements will be performed by the same
examiner (Yuko Yamamoto). From this chart, the number of surfaces with plaque is obtained. Then
a percentage is calculated by dividing this with the number of the surfaces tested. Then, it is
determined as a PCR and utilized for the cleaning efficiency and comparison in the testing group
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The examinees are 6 volunteer adults. Informed consents and agreements were sufficiently received  initially from the volunteers, and the experiment was

implemented. The foregoing experiment has  been approved by the University Ethics Review Committee

Time Schedule 

1st Day 

After lunch, everyone was not allowed to eat, snack, or drink alcohol other than at dinner without  toothbrushing after lunch and dinner. In addition, there are no restrictions on the use of dentifrices and  mouthwashes before lunch on the 1st day

The 2nd Day 

Everyone had the same breakfast, and no meals or snacks afterwards, without toothbrushing after  breakfast

CONTROL MISWAK + BLACK SILICA


The photos show the result after cleaning with a control toothbrush and a Miswakblack silica  toothbrush. The insufficient brushing on the adjacent surface is noticeable with the control toothbrush,  and the Miswakblack silica toothbrush definitely has a higher cleaning effect

Conclusion 

The Miswakblack Silica toothbrush is considered to have a lower PCR and a higher cleaning effect than the control toothbrush. It has been reported that black silica has Far-Infrared and a negative ion  effects while indicating that the negative ion effect increases the cleaning effect. It was also clarified  that the cleaning characteristic was not limited by including Miswak to this cleaning effect. It is said  

that Miswak is a natural material and has a bactericidal action. In addition, it has been used as a  toothpaste since ancient times and is considered to be a promising material even though an existence of  the possibilities having unknown effects cannot be denied

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Conclusion 


A study was implemented by selecting one examinee from the foregoing experiment 1 under almost  the same conditions as in 1. On another day, brush-cleaning was performed with the Miswakblack  silica toothbrush and the control toothbrush, and then the number of bacteria in saliva was measured.  As a result, the

number of bacteria was lower when cleaning with the Miswakblack silica toothbrush 

Analysis of Surface Morphology by Observing Toothbrush Bristles with Scanning Electron  Microscope 

I will report in a 2nd version as soon as the results are found after further searching. Overall Summary 

The product, the Miswakblack silica-combined toothbrush manufactured by Shinyei Kaisha, was  evaluated. As a result, it was proven that the toothbrush shows a sufficient cleaning effect under the  condition that a so-called dentifrice is not utilized
